Keith Urban is set to be honored with the esteemed “ACM Triple Crown Award” during the Academy of Country Music Awards, taking place on Thursday, May 8.

The ACM Triple Crown Award is a rare distinction granted to artists who have earned three major ACM honors: New Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year. Urban earned these accolades with his wins as ‘Top New Male Vocalist’ in 2001, ‘Male Vocalist of the Year’ in both 2005 and 2006, and ‘Entertainer of the Year’ in 2019. He becomes the first artist since Carrie Underwood at the 45th ACM Awards to be recognized with this title during the show.

The presentation to Urban marks the first time the Triple Crown Award has been presented during the ACM Awards since Carrie Underwood received the honor back in 2010. Urban’s milestone will be celebrated during the broadcast with special tribute performances of his songs by fellow country stars Chris Stapleton, Megan Moroney, and Brothers Osborne.

The 60th ACM Awards will be hosted by country music legend and 16-time ACM Award winner Reba McEntire. The show will stream live to a global audience in more than 240 countries and territories via Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.
